Been looking for a jacket that works in summer in both sunshine and the wet when we go on tour.

This may be the one. Had a good look at it last week at the NEC.

It's fairly lightweight but protective, well vented for when it's warm but also the waterproof lining is bonded to the outer so doesn't hold water when wet.

Reasonably priced too and gets a great write up in the reviews. No deals at the moment as its brand new but in no rush yet anyway.

That looks pretty sharp. You could wear it riding & it would do it's job, and wear it away from the bike without ever looking like a Power Ranger.

Have a look at the Klim Traverse Jacket. That will probably tick all of the boxes you're looking for.

I really can't get over the high quality of my Klim jacket. Nothing comes close to it. Plus you've got a lifetime warranty.

This is one of the things I have to actually go into a shop to buy, I need to try them all on before I get a new jacket, the sizes from one mfr to another are never the same..

I must confess I would always wear leather if I could as it always feels much safer to me. However there are times when textiles are more comfortable.

Oxford Mondial Advanced Jacket. Its not a company i would normally visit but the reviews and price are so good it would be remiss not to try it.

Nah, it's not a Rukka jacket.

:D

Proof wil be in use over the next year but in terms of fit, price and comfort and features, it's very hard to beat.

It's a laminate jacket so the outer shell won't get saturated in rain.

It seems to tick all the right boxes and the price is spot on.

Hopefully it will be perfect for the 2019 Tankslap Euro tour.

A few GS riders have had issues with their bikes over the last couple of years. By all accounts the build quality isn't as good as the old bullet proof bikes.

On the plus side BMW do have a decent network and any issues are usually dealt with pretty quickly.

Ghats fairly bright as well so people should see you more easily. Good choice. Hope it lives up to expectations

I was at Oxford products the other week. They were showing me round their premises and their new products. They have a nice showroom with all the products on show.

I have Oxford clothing and very happy with it. THey were proud of their new adventure style clothing.
