day two - Orleans to Dijon - Short day time to play in Morvan region
day three - Dijon to Lake Geneva and back - Stay in Dijon again that night. We could have a day without carrying luggage.
day four - Dijon to Laval
day five - Laval to Home.

No motorways and no tolls. - 1113 miles in total.

The route looks good. Nice work Duke, much appreciated.

If we've got time at any point could we swing across to Autun? We might have time from Orleans to Dijon. The road from Nevers to Autun looks decent on the map and it's in the Morvan.

No worries if it makes the day long, it's just somewhere I would like to see.

I will have a look later.

I'm sure we can include a ride that way too.

In terms of dates are we looking at early June again? Wednesday 5th to Sunday 9th June?

Let's worry about it in April when we know what's happening.

It says it takes 5 minutes to issue an IDP and costs £5.50 which is hardly a show stopper to be fair.

Didn't we pay £30 odd for a permit to ride through Switzerland 4 or 5 years back.

Its the thin end though. What happens about medical and vehicle insurance? No one has a clue.

Can we keep this thread to places we want to visit, dates and which part of Frankie's bike is going to drop off?

The Brexit thread is over there ----->

Thanks.

No worries. As I mentioned, it's all guesswork until April. We'll sort the finer details out then.

For now I want to think about riding on some nice quiet roads in the sunshine.

I need something to look forward to. Who is still in for this?

I realise its probably still waiting for the **** in Parliament to decide whether they intend wrecking this Country or not and i don't intend booking a ferry until we know what's happening. But......

When they changed your ferry bookings for this month did they offer a refund to, Cookie?

Hotels etc we can cancel usually if needs be but ferrys i don't know what their policy would likely be on this.

Yes. My bike insurers still will not commit to whether there will be additional charges but we will worry about that later. My renewal is due this month anyway.

Slightly off subject but I'm just renewing my car insurance and it gave me an option to have European driving cover for an additional premium. I dont remember this being a chargeable option previously :?

Brexit. We will be working under different regulations after 29 March.

I think Kwacky mentioned that unless there is some agreement, then UK lawyers will no longer be able to act for you in the event of an accident in Europe.
