Tory Leader Election?

I thought I would split this from the Brexit fiasco.

I see that Rees-Mogg has submitted a letter of no confidence.

If 48 letters are handed to Graham Brady, who chairs the 1922 Committee of backbenchers, Tory MPs will vote on whether Mrs May continues in her position.

I wonder if Lord Snooty will get the support he's after to oust May? If so, who will take her place? If the Tory party likely to want to see hard Brexiteers in Number10? I hope not.

I would find it funny if Jo went up against Boris.

A few years under McVey could be fun ;) (devil)

Is Rees-Smugg going to put himself forward? Or is he effing off to Ireland to make more millions in his Company now it’s been set up in the Republic? People like him are the biggest problem facing this Country now.

Surely he's smart enough to realise he's unelectable? There's too much about him the general public don't/won't like. Things like telling women they should keep the baby if they're raped is never an election winner.

Odds on Rory Stewart being the next leader of the Tories have been dropping fast.

Nice guy, very intelligent, widely travelled, a massive fan of international development and military co-operation.

He's against a No-Deal scenario.

But I can't see him getting the backing needed

I still think May will be left to it until the Brexit axe falls in March.

What ever side of the fence you sit in this great big mess, the current situation is a huge fook up and your dammed if you do and dammed if you dont.

The PM is walking to the Gallows and I can't see anyone volunteering to take her place in hang man's noose (blush)

Rory Stewart’s real first name is Rod.

I kid you not.

He did a really good 2 part series about Afghanistan. It's worth watching.

Be careful what you wish for.

Raab is the favourite. He's all for a hard Brexit.

None of the front runners fill me with any confidence.

You're not wrong, but this has nothing to do with the leader. It's about the ERG forcing us to crash out of the EU with no deal.
