Brian May can say whatever he wants, and to be fair he's stuck between a rock & a hard place.....but Freddie Mercury WAS Queen.....he was the frontman, and that's that.... Just as Debbie Harry was Blondie, Jim Morrison was The Doors, etc.

I'm sure Queen's new frontman is a great vocalist, musician, etc.....but the reality is that by continuing the band as he has, May has pretty much turned Queen into The Freddie Mercury Tribute Band.

I totally agree with your last sentiment., Adam Lambert does a lot of his own work and think his vocals are superb but thought it was a bad move taking over from the real thing
I quite admire John Deacon and how he has gone completely out of the limelight since Freddie died , it is only my opinion but when Freddie died that was the end of Queen the super group.

When I saw queen the opening was a few minutes of the rest of the band, I wasn't actually there to see Queen if I recall correctly ..any how the crowd were a bit non plussed until the moment Freddie entered the stage and totally held the audience for about 90 mins.

I put him up there with the show I saw David Coverdales performance at Donington in the early 80's

I have to be honest.....I always thought Foreigner were fcuking awful. They're like the Celine Dion of rock music.

I think I'd rather have Gary Glitter raise my children than go to a Foreigner concert.

Have a guess how much $$$ Vanilla Ice still pulls in every year from his Queen-sampled hit "Ice, Ice, Baby"...??
