I'm sure there'll be a private patrol I can subscribe to in the next couple of years.

I wonder how long it'll be before the fire services go back to being owned by insurance companies?

I was talking to an Italian guy the ither month and to be honest that's what they already do apprently for estates. Apprently it works. Wouldnt be surprised if Britain is thinking the same

Great, so we pay our taxes for the police only to be told we need to dip into our pockets again to pay for private security

I didnt say i liked the idea but i was told it works. And apprently better than police because they are on it straight away because it's a company and they have a reputation to uphold. That maybe the future to be honest

It is Rossgo, it's already in place in some parts of London.

What I hate is that our taxes have been taken from us, those taxes should go towards us being kept safe. But funding for the police, fire service, armed forces, ambulances and hospitals is being cut. Because there are fewer police we the public are told that we need to use our money to pay for the protection we expect from our police.

Money for prisons has been cut, so our prisoners go inside to learn how to become better criminals or come out addicted to drugs so need to turn to crime to pay for their habit.

The Courts are being closed down so even when the police do catch criminals there's a good chance the court won't have time to deal.

The funding for the prosecution service is being cut, so there are fewer barristers and solicitors about to prosecute the criminals.

Criminals know all of this, so they become bolder and commit more crimes, knowing there's little chance they'll be caught.

Yet we're told we need to find more money to protect ourselves by hiring some cowboys in uniform.

I can't protect myself because I'll end up losing my job and then my house. I can't call on the police because there aren't any.

It pisses me off.

Think thats perfectly said mate. There's lots wrong with this country. Yet nothing is done about it. Why doesn't anything get done about it?

And because voting in this Country is still full of class division. So many I talk to say they would never vote Labour or never vote Tory or ever vote etc etc........ Because thy make their decision on what they want others to perceive them as rather than what makes sense.

A coalition next time with the Lib Dems holding the balance might be the best thing that could happen to the UK. It means idealism is replaced by realism.

It was a small war mate. Didn't get talked about much..Don't even think they had a song go to it like https://youtu.be/qV4Q-RSQCq0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Wasn't like anyone had their arms blown off or legs or even come back with PTSD.

Like I say didn't even get a song...What type of war doesn't get a song.............

No.
That war was started when Iraq invaded one of our ALLIES. Iraqi forces then OCCUPIED that country.

Didn't matter whether Blair was in power or not. The UK had a obligation to respond. So did the US, and so did dozens of other countries.

Most successful Politicians are mate.
Our current political system ensures that only the most devious, two faced, teflon coated, backstabbers make it to the top level of the floating scum on the swamp of politics.

Which is why:

Is wishful thinking.
I do agree with you somewhat , but frankly I think your phrase "the best thing" would be better as " the least worse move".
One of the main troubles with that would be the lack of any real decisive moves, which is historically proven as the overriding symptom of a coalition.?
