Have you had yours on a Dyno, Blade? I bet there's no bike you can't get past on a track day

Re written for you Cav (giggle)

It's a quick bike 8) but I m not a quick rider ;( and as you know in our sport the rider makes the difference (lol)

To answer your question no I haven't had it dyno'd but I would guess about 190ish at the rear wheel with the Akpraovic and UpMap as PB mag dyno'd a standard one at 185bhp. Seat of the pants Dyno confirms its an animal and accelerates much harder than my Blade or ZX10R ever did. Full throttle is scary, good scary, but SCARY!!!!! (happy)

Haha, yeah the rider accounts for a lot but I don't imagine you get caught behind someone for more than a lap if you're able to swallow a brave pill and twist the throttle to the stop down the straights :)

I remember the first time I rode a 1000cc bike (L3 Gixxer), I was in 3rd gear and gave it full welly.. the front wheel was tickling the floor. The feeling was scary but awesome. If you've gone from a ZX10R (already quicker than the L3) to a bike which you feel is another league above it - god knows how that feels!

Get a test ride Cav would be interested in your opinion. I would say the 1299 accelerate harders than even the all new v4 Pani and all other il4 thou's I've ridden.

A 190 bhp vtwin with a short rev range that spins up quickly is brutal on acceleration.

Sadly I can't get it on track. They fail the static noise tests as stock. They will only let you on with oem cans and I haven't got them sadly. It came with the Akrapovic cans.

I can't wait to get the little 675 on track it's got a great chassis and is easy to keep pinned everywhere so should be absolute giggle on track.

I'd love to test ride one but I haven't got a chance in hell of riding one. 24 year old lad turns up to a Ducati dealership for the first time asking to ride a 200bhp superbike. I doubt I'd walk out happy.

What about Donington or Silverstone on a 102-108dB day? Surely you'd get it through that? Failing that, get it on a stillage heading for Catalunya or another European Trackday !!!

600s are epic. so much fun and you can really rag the sh!t out of it. I'm looking forward to being in the same group as my mate on a Gen 2 S1000RR in Portimao.. going to see him fly past on the straight then get him at the next braking zone I reckon

Not a bad suggestion Cav.

I'm going to see how I get on, on track with the 675 first as that's one of the reasons I bought it and a good place to start as not been on track in years.

Great to see someone with a superbike have no ego and hop on a 600! Too many people do the opposite and crash relentlessly
