I found it really odd with a musical theatrical production where the story was dire that you weren't allowed to dance .. if I'd written it and saw people having fun I would have been well chuffed

You can always tell Jim Steinman's piano/touch.....has a very Wagner-like feel to it.

Yep, it was always designed to be a rock opera. And it works. Great album.

My dad had the bat out of hell album on record when I was growing up lol!!! I did enjoy it at the time!

Would love to go and see Grease. My parent sent to see that (again when i was a kid) but i always remember my dad saying how fantastic it was and that is something for my dad to say that! He's very hard to please!

I never knew.

I remember it was touted as a concept album, but I clearly missed the concept part.
I'm used to Pink Floyd concept-stuff with all the dialogue tape-effects scattered around between all the songs.

I took the Mrs to see BOOH last year on its first run, shes a massive Meat Loaf fan (we have seen him live) and as a musician I can more than appreciate the genius of Jim Steinman, Ill be honest, I booked it for her as a present, I loved it, I thought it was excellent.

I felt the back story was silly, but thoroughly enjoyed the music... anyone who gets a chance should have a gander
