B7 may have dodgy sets, poor effects and Gt Yarmouth sand dunes as an alien planet (got that right!), but Servalan was fantastic and one of the few great Female villains on TV, damn sexy in a scary kind of way too.

Rest in peace Jaqueline, I’ll not forget you.

She was amazing in Blake's 7.

I loved that series and always watched it as a kid.

RIP

I remember that show......every alien planet they went to looked like (and was) a quarry. And "Blake" was never actually around.

RIP.

I wonder if the BBC will be brave enough to show it again?

The production was shite but politically it's a bit close to home at the moment.

Why? Because a cast member died??

It'd be like showing old Dr Who episodes every time one of those old guys croaks.

I don’t see why it couldn’t be shown again, after all Fanny Craddock is available again on iPlayer and was scary as fook and as politically incorrect as anything I’ve seen. (doh)

And now Avon is with the stars

Blake's 7 star Paul Darrow has died aged 78.

The Surrey-born actor, who also appeared in Doctor Who, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Little Britain passed away following a short illness, a spokeswoman for JACKfm, which he voiced, confirmed.

What a voice.

I tried digging out "UFO" a while back....it hasn't held up well....neither has Space:1999, TBH. Then again, they're both REALLY old shows now.

They've got to be close to 40 years old haven't they?

Space 1999 looks appalling.

Nope....Late '73 onwards, it seems. Perhaps not shown until much later...which seems to ring a bell.

Saw this last night, Avon was one of Mrs Gee soft spots (likes a bad lad apparently), it’s like our youth is being chipped away one piece at a time. Getting old sucks.
