If you look closely you can see where Blade has made his mark, with a short hand "This Is Blade's Corner" tag.

Looks tidy Blade! 8)

So what’s done and what’s left to do mods wise?

New brake pads as need changing but hopefully an upgrade as a bonus also.

First actual mod will be race shock. Had an hour today and pretty much immediately I knew it needed a rear shock but planned for that anyway as done it on last 5 bikes so I'm cool with that.

What tyres are on it?

Looks a decent purchase.

I must confess that as much as riding silly fast bikes on track and road is great, i do believe you learn more from riding something with power that you can use more of.

Yeah contential sport attack, not very good tbh.

I'll get the winter out of them and fit something else.

Fancy m7rr but they don't do it in 180/60 unfortunately

The motor is very quiet and very smooth but after the 1299 feels gutless and lethargic but I knew that and it was intentional choice.

I've not been on track in years so something smooth, tractable, quick but not having to worry about high siding every 5 minutes or the electronics mopping everything up was all part of the plan.

This little weapon will be all about the handling as you can just keep the throttle on the stop and let the chassis carry your corner speed.

why do you want a 60 over a 55?

Got there before me. 180/55 Racetec scrubs are the dogs danglies on those bikes on track, harder you go better they stick, iirc the 60 needs a tooth or two larger on the rear sprocket, but gives more side contact and quicker turn in.

More contact, more side grip and sharper turn in.

The 200/55 I use has a 110mm side wall.

The 180/55 has a side wall of 99mm and that 11mm is a big difference when on the edge of the tyre.

You're doing well to use 110mm of contact on a tyre in a turn :D

I presume that they do the Supercorsa in a 180/60?

That's 110mm on road it's only going to get worse on track (happy)

Yes I can get supercorsa but wanted something good at my pace on track but also good in mixed conditions on the road and m7rr seemed to fit that remit well.

I've never run out of tyre using 55s and I'm sure others have coped using 180/55.

But if you're adamant you have to have a 60 then you'll have to pass on the M7rrs. I'm sure there are loads of other tyres that'll fit your requirements.

Not adamant just something I fancied trying tbh.

Chassis and tyre tech moves on (y)
