Proper shame to be honest, think he was really lookong forward to riding for Norton across the mountain. However ws sayong yhis to my dad the other day, he really needs to retire and get behind other racers and be a mentor to them, theres no more for him left to prove, hes a cracking racer he should let the youngsters risk their lives not him!

Top bloke, he’s been the man to beat for years, I know he still wants to be at the sharp end, but I can see the sense in Rossgo’s idea. He’s worth money to the IoM as both an ambassador for the event and mentor for the new riders, Milky does a great job, but how much more impact could McPint make with sponsors and the new lads?
