I see there's been a complaint from a couple of motoring organisations that the drop in oil prices isn't being passed on at the pumps.

No surprise there.

I read that they were something like 20p a liter above what they should be, and that rises where on the cards again.

I saw it at £1.379 last week in Manchester.

It seems to have crept up again here, it's around £1.479

I am very intrigued to see the future of Porsches synthetic fuel and what it is going to do to oil prices and the EV sector

I don’t think it will impact the EV sector that much, and I can see both industries working on common goals because both sectors are heavily reliant on carbon neutral electricity supply to be viable alternatives to fossil fuels.

EFuels will be they way forward to carbon neutral ICE’s already existing, while EV’s are most focussed on displacing future ICE production.

Porsches 2nd eFuels plant is going to be built in Tasmania apparently. That would be an interesting process plant to be involved with.

Nah, way too cold in Tassie and even if they offered it, I’m well over flying away for work or doing shift work.

E fuels could never be produced on a scale to replace current petrol consumption. I think their place will be in high performance vehicles but I can’t see them being allowed in city centres when there is an EV alternative.

The future needs to consist of Na-ion BEVs (no cobalt mining), HEVs and E-fuel ICE in my opinion. There is no way we can have just one or the other

I've noticed that a lot of the supermarkets aren't much cheaper now. I'm seeing better prices at the independents

Cheapest around here is JET, I paid £1.65.9 for the ultra diesel for the cage and have seen normal for more than that at other garages.

£1.36 for unleaded last night, noticed diesel had dropped quite a bit when I filled up the Volvo last week.

Handy as I've got a couple of hundred miles to do in a minibus over the weekend.

My local garage has gradually increased its prices by 5p this week. It's £1.489 now. Good job I filled up at the start of the week.
