Fuel companies are just making you and me pay the windfall tax they Government has just imposed on them. They should have been warned that any unnecessary price increases would see the windfall tax extended.

There was a great video on tictok comparing the current cost of fuel to the previous petrol crisis when the cost of petrol broke £1 a litre for the first time.

The whole country went on strike, blocked motorways... Etc....

The cost of a barrel of oil is now only a few cents more expensive...

Do you get the feeling we are being royally **** over, without any lube, while having the will pulled over our eyes at the same time?

Very much so. The war in Ukraine is not likely to be helping but the cost has gone up nearly 20p a litre in just a few weeks.

I passed a petrol station this morning. Unleaded was £1.799.

On the way home it was £1.859

There's no justification for that increase

Bring the businesses to a standstill and they will demand action. You can't sack the entire country.

Knobhead is skating on very thin ice. More disgruntled MPs and less Tory donors, it's not difficult to see that outcome.

It is time that (and i hate using this phrase but) ordinary working people stood up and took control of what is happening to this Country rather than let a bunch of Etonians and Harrow boys and wealthy Russians run the place purely for their own benefit.

Every election people get sucked in by nonsense spouted by the idiot politicians who promise the Earth and deliver precisely nothing but more debt, more work and no positives.

To hear Johnson spout his bullshit about house ownership the other day...what a complete and utter **** idiot he is but he will say anything to win a few votes and some people STILL believe it.

Wake up people we are being well and truly **** over by these clowns.

It's really simple, over the last 50/60 years we have seen a huge transfer of wealth to a very small minority. We're now at the point where it's actually starting to affect the middle classes/earners and there's a huge number of people, mostly working families living in absolute poverty.

The markets as we've seen are incredibly delicate and it only takes a few days of disruption to cause significant damage. A week to two weeks would finish a lot of the parasites off.

They're surprised that the 5p cut in duty they announced isn't being passed on to customers.

Last night I saw it at over £2/L at Weatherby Services, so it probably won't be long until other filling stations follow suit. Petrol £2.02.9, Diesel £2.04.9
The Jet garage near home went up 5p overnight and on Sunday it cost me £26 to fill the XR, it's got a 15L tank, partly my fault for using Super, it really likes the lower ethanol content even though it is rated for E10.

They really should stop with the .9 bulls... too.

It's below £1.70 at the moment. That's still really expensive IMO but it's heading in the right direction

Fingers crossed it keeps dropping, but I honestly can't see it going much below £1.50 before they find another excuse for it to go back up.

Its come down because sales are down 5% which might not seem a lot to you and me but to the oil companies its significant.

If they dont sell all they produce they have to pay to store it.

August 2019 my heating oil supplier sent me an email offering heating oil at 19.66 per litre as a promotion linked to the World Cup

The price is currently around 86 per litre.
