Jiddu Krishnamurti https://g.co/kgs/w6NBGf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.
I maintain that Truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect.
All ideologies are idiotic, whether religious or political, for it is conceptual thinking, the conceptual word, which has so unfortunately divided man.

He constantly preached to anyone and everyone that his primary goal was to " set all men absolutely and unconditionally free"

(wait) I only know of one way that a person can be absolutely and unconditionally freed :^

Anyway, whilst I personally subscribe to very similar views to those he promoted, he was clear on what was wrong with the state of humanity but I'm not sure he actually came up with viable remedies ?

The remedies lie in believing in no system or religion to be totally free. Although it maybe impossible to do cos no matter what you do you live and work in a system that controls people and its very hard or virtually impossible to set yourself free from it unless you go and live in a cave and hunt to feed yourself.

But we could live free to an extent where we could avoid to allow religion or any system to brain wash us in believing their propoganda crap.

He sounds a bit like Shute.

Or one of Shute's characters, at least.

To quote a beautiful line from Melua; "What we own becomes our prison"

Not quite what I meant Furball, surely the only way to be entirely free is to be free from our mortality. (happy) -Personally I'll choose battle on with the burden of existing for as long as I can ;)

I have to agree with you on the extra burden's imposed on humanity by all the prehistoric cults and their associated bigotries though. (nod)

Jesus, mohammad, moses D41 all belong to centuries ago where they had to control people,s minds in order to guide them to better lives but in this day and age any intelligent human being shouldnt need to follow their steps in order to live their lives like a proper evolved human being. (rock)

I,m not following him but what he,s talked about makes sense and he did,nt say those things to control anyone but instead to set people free.

Death is the only true release

Death is a kind of release that you won,t know anything about afterwards but freedom on earth would feel great on the other hand.

Freedom from any religious beliefs, freedom from this commercialised world, marked clothing, material stuff. They,re all chains round people,s necks these days. (nod)

That's the stuff that patchoulie-soaked & hemp-smoked hippies dream about when they're not wishing they'd been born in time for Woodstock.

But if it works for you then to each their own....it's harmless enough, I suppose.

Peace, man.

Its those dreams that eventually changes this horrible world we live in, so... for that purpose I,ll keep on dreaming. (rock)
