Mazda are doing a £4,000 scrappage scheme which is what made her think about getting a new car.

I've had a look, the Seat deal is only for old diesels.

When she's decided which model check out Car Wow. Massive savings to be had without having to go all out Blade on the dealer!

If you're talking Brand New I really like the new Leon. My bamp has the latest model with facelift in the eXcellence trim. It has everything!

Radar cruise control, heated seats, heated steering wheel (I think), sat nav, wireless phone charging, rear seats that can be laid flat from the boot with a simple pull of a flap.. Oh and it's 180bhp DSG diesel. Around town he's seeing 40mpg+ (he never leaves the town)

And CarWow are good, not heard of the drivethedeal place

I would stick with petrol and get an auto if possible.

Some dealers in London wouldn't consider my 330d in px as they won't touch diesel anymore. Not sure exactly why but if not parking or congestion charge it will be emissions I guess.

Saying that if you just want to spend 2k there could be some mega diesel deals in the London area.

Reiterate what Blade says re petrol, diesel is being targeted by the politicians, I wouldn’t spend my hard earned on a diesel now, it’ll be worth squat in a year or two, which makes it very expensive indeed.

Ford Fiesta 1.2 Zetec. Cheap to run and fun to drive. Yamaha helped develop the engine. Spare aplenty and easy to come by. The Mazda and the Fiesta are, I think, pretty much the same car with different body styles.
