This is a useful long term test of the 765. He goes on a bit, but gives a good tour and sound of the bike.

I found this useful view of the 675 and 765 as a comparison..

I like that, but watch how close that rear hugger looks to the rear tyre on the 765, might be worth looking to see how much clearance there is in real life, especially if you ever fit a taller profile tyre.

So far i've ordered:

Radiator Guard
Techspec Tank Pads
Abba stand adaptors
Waterproof GPS mount

I'm currently looking for:

Screen
Frame sliders

I reckon thats the basics until the bike comes at least :D

I'm still unsure over which frame sliders and screen to get.

It might worth having a look and seeing if the pulse timing cover on the r/h side is as vulnerable as it was on the 675 engines, it doesn't seem to have changed much and was known as a damage prone area on the 675 engines, that had the potential to cost a lot of money from a seemingly minor bump. GB covers make a simple bolt on protector for them.

I've scored an 'as new' set of Triumph frame protectors for way less than new price - should look good :)

Just got to find a fly screen i like now.

Puig do one as do Triumph. Any other manufacturers people have found that they like?

I do want some GB Racing covers, but may have to wait as the piggy bank is getting empty :D

I got a screen from Powerbronze. It's a nice fit but you need to get some proper glue for it as it comes with sticky pads which stop working when they get wet.

Nice bargain on the sliders (y)

Quite a few manufacturers don't seem to have screens for the 765 yet. It's been out a few months now so i'm surprised really.

Cant find a Powerbronze or Zero G screen.

Email Richard at PB. He's a nice bloke. He'll tell you if they're developing anything

richard.padwick@powerbronze.co.uk

You might get a prototype on the cheap.

It can't be easy waiting for a new bike. Each time I've bought one it's been on the shop floor waiting to go. The Versys needed bits fitting but at least it was in the shop.

Longest Ive had to wait for anew bike was a week and luckily the week between ordering it and picking it up we went to Italy to watch the superbikes so I wasn't particularly desperate haha,

I waited 6 months for my first Daytona 675, ordered November a day after the Bike show release, delivered in May. Couldn't even have the promised test ride as I'd rolled my ankle in the January and couldn't get a boot on.

That graphic above, is a great indication of its stance being more pushed forward, you can see the back lift a touch.

:D Those mirrors are a naughty purchase really - i'm not going to get away with anything else tbh.

I have got a load of RC8 bits I'm going to sell which should offset some of the ££.

I just want the bike now ;(
