Still looking for a new bike.

Thought i had found 2 nice bikes but 1st one has no service history and the 3rd owner is not aware of any servicing at all. At least he's honest.

Second bike below has clearly been down the road. He claims the fairing scuff on the belly pan is from limited clearance and decking out when road riding. Extremely unlikely and the frame protectors, swingarm covers, engine covers, shortened exhaust, replacement levers and foot rests are most likely either to cover up damage or replacing broken item's.

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232372925969" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Love that bike so much!! I would be exactly the same I wouldn't want to spend out X amount on a bike and not be completely satisfied with my purchase.
1st bike the owner sounds very honest letting you know of no service history BUT who the hell would buy a bike of that calibre and not go through the correct stages while owning it what an absolute waste - maybe discount available if purchasing this bike?? Looks mint other than that. 3700 miles isn't even ran in

2nd bike could that be down to the exhaust, maybe a burn and the extra bits were just upgraded with 7000miles on the clock?

However if it were my money I wouldn't buy id be exactly the same id want to have a proven history for the bikes life for that sort of cash. Sure you will find something and it will pop up at just the right time

Haven't really added much to this thread reading back through it!!

I'm with Ross....looks like exhaust burn on the underside of the 2nd bike.

The description says it touched down on the road when leant over which seems a little unbelieveable imo

Kar Lee is moaning about his Tuono V4 touching down on corners in this month's PB magazine because the bike is too low to the ground.

This has happened before......the 0-60 times and other spec-related stuff is the first thing journos test, in case the bike gets wrecked on the road test....they're often, if not usually, left that way for the rest of the time they have the bike....it gets passed on to other mags. or it came that way etc.
This came up a while bike with one of the Brit mags......they copped to it one way or another...I forget the details.

Sorry...I forgot to mention...most bikes are lowered a touch for the performance tests....test rider weighs 17lbs wet-through, etc.

It's not a test bike, it's his own bike that his wife bought him for a wedding anniversary.
