I refuse to work it out, I don't even pay much attention to how much fuel I put in it, just try to guess how far I can get between full ups..

The RSV had an eco mode too, it was called off.. (giggle)

I'm the same. I was religious with the Daytona and mileage results, but now the Multi is just for fun I don't really care. But now you all have set my OCD brain in motion I guess I will be working it out next fill! (lol)

I believe I get about 30mpg.

The warning light comes on between 80 and 90 miles.

It's a 160 on the rear. I'm wondering if I should try a 170 when I get the next set of tyres, just to see what the change is like.

If your not having grip issues I would stick with the more agile 160 if it was me tbh.

Can you get the 160 in a different profile height?

That maybe worth a trial imo. Any advice on the forums from other owners ?

I'm more worried about running out of tyre. There are no chicken strips.

No one else has run 170s, they're more into their touring on the Versys site. One bloke was getting 300 miles from a tank and complaining his bike was slow :D Read the thread https://www.versys.co.uk/index.php/topic,22795.0.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What tyres are on it ? Some commuter bikes come with oem tyres that are almost flat in profile so while no chicken strips on them on something more sporty you would have plenty left on the side's.

Not saying your not cranking her over just a more sporty road tyre may solve your problem.

Maybe fit something with a more sporty profile like a rosso corsa or m7rr in 160 section

Moto3 run 160 rear (I think) and unless your elbow down with the right profile you should be fine.

It's the D222. They're fine in the dry, nice grip from them and pretty stable but they're crap in the wet.

Good point about the profile. I'll check them against my favourites.

Yeah looks a profile issue to me.

The D222 is flatter than a pancake so not surprised your running out of tyre. Unless bolt upright all day they look potentially dangerous for spirited riding.

Last tank was 17 L for 242 km so 7L/100 or 40 MPG for you lot. Not bad for a 1200 twin, 2 up and loaded with luggage

It was spot on. I think it would struggle two up but for me with a loaded top box it was great. Comfortable, happy to cruise along, good handling. It did everything I needed it to do.

I think I was getting 5.2l per 100km. I had to use the gears more and rev it more to deal with the quicker overtaking on the main roads.
