Wasn't it Kennedy who only got in because of the TV debates? He was miles behind in the polls before the first one.

LOL...How the feck should I know!!!

Bit before my time. TBH, I don't really know when they started doing them....I only know that they interfere with my time watching 'Jeopardy', 'MTV Cribs', and other stuff like that.

Or to be even more honest...I just don't really watch a lot of TV....I put it on to fall asleep to, and then I'm out like a light. I went for years without even owning a TV.

There allegations in the media about him touching up a 13 year old a few years back

I don't like either of them to be honest. I think the USA is in for a rocky road whoever gets in.

Of the pair, I'd pick Clinton in a heartbeat......and this is from a life-long conservative. Trump just offends merely by his presence, and when he opens his gob it only compounds matters. He's all bluster & vague rhetoric when it comes to specifics. It's bully-boy tactics, and it doesn't reflect well on the man. That sort of thing may work well when you're signing all the paychecks, but not when we're signing his.
He's p*ssing off the Hispanic community no end....and that's a huge chunk of voters. But they'd normally lean towards Clinton anyway, so may not have much of an effect on the end result, as they're not really part of the swing vote.

I'd have to hold my nose and vote Clinton, a vote for more of the same. Such a shame Bernie didn't make it.

More of the same will be fine by me. Obama has been a great President for the US.

We'll find out soon which way the US has decided.

I think Trump has made it very clear that he's going to allege voting fraud if he doesn't win.

What happened to democracy?

This and the Brexit vote appear to show it is no longer part of the process when politicians can openly lie and abuse their opponents in public and try and divert from the issues facing ordinary people.

The Tories are still under investigation for election fraud in the last general election.

Labour MPs have been caught out in the past.

Bush got Jed Bush to change the laws in Florida so the vote would swing his way

There's no such thing as true democracy.

Bigotry and hate seem to be the new world order.

Have we gone backwards 85 years?

I actually called this two weeks ago, as I did BREXIT. Yes just like BREXIT there is an element of bigotry and hate but bigotry and hate is not a new thing. The deciding factor in both elections is the long term effects of Neoliberalism. There are millions of people around the world that have lost everything and have nothing to lose.

If you've lost your job because the car/mars bar/whatever factory has closed, then the system f@cks you up the arse and the government/media scapegoats you as a scrounger. What you going to do?

Same here. I put £20 on at 14-1 on bet365 that Trump would win.
