Got an LG G3 which is stuck on "Android is updating" loop.
It's been doing it for a couple of hours. I've removed the battery and tried it again. I've done it with the sim and the memory card removed.
Online advice seems to be to factory reset but I don't really want to go down that route unless I have to.
The number of apps it's updating switches between 42 and 35.
No issues before today. It's not been rooted.
Ta in advance.

Re: Android phone help
Are you doing it on Home Wifi (NOT work Wifi)? Also, make sure you have your phone plugged in on the power and you have closed all other apps and cleared the ram before starting the update. Do you have sufficient memory, also?

Re: Android phone help
I can't access the phone. It's looped. I can't access any apps
The issue started this morning at home. I don't have wifi at work.

Re: Android phone help
when you remove the battery does it go to the usual home page or does it revert to the update loop?
If it reverts to the update loop then leave the battery and sim card out for a few hours. Also remove the memory card if you have one

Re: Android phone help
I get the LG screen, then the Vodafone screen, then the updates loop.
I'll strip it and leave it until this afternoon.

Re: Android phone help
Can you connect it to a computer via USB and see of it recognises it? At least that way you could get any data off the phone before factory reset.

Re: Android phone help
That's what I'll try and do tonight. Thankfully I backed it up last week so worst case is losing a few photos and some music.
