Your doing such a top draw project it has to be right and you have to be happy even if that sometimes means one step backwards to take two steps forwards.

It will be worth it in the end 8)

So i had a bit of an accident the newly powder coated yoke got strong thinners on it ..... and reacted so i cried quite a bit. Then spent the day at my freinds workshop sand blasting the yoke I'm quite pleased how it has come out in the end just need to lacquer it.

Also had this expensive box of bits turn up but now i can get the carbs build up and the engine...

i would but aprilia in there wisdom did not stamp it very well so there is'nt really a dot there :-( it looks a bit better in the flesh but not much.

And the sandblasting experience was not nice. The unit was something out the 70's the seals were shagged and i wore a vent mask and still looked like i had been down the pit. it also took HOURS.

Me too.

But every time you look down at the clocks now, your eyes will be drawn like magnets to those missing dots, and you'll think of what might have been.

I know that 'cos I did the same thing with the 'Prila I had. Thank God for model kit paints. And "Military Hobbies" on Taft Ave.

So on my quest to find parts for the Aprilia this came up at the right money so i bought it. Has a few bits on it i wanted and i will either sell it on or keep it not made my mind up.

the bike has a
translogic micro dash
zeeltronic ecu
billet levers and master cylinders
Gillies rear sets
Lithium battery (anyone know what i need to charge it ??)
jim lomas pipes
Its supposed to have had a top end rebuild 1500 miles ago it has been stood a bit but it was run a couple of months ago

Nice find Rocket.
What a shame you don't like Gilles rearsets. ;)
I could be wrong, but aren't those custom expansion pipes too.?

Great find mate are those ISR master cylinders ??? Very nice 8)

For the lithium battery you need a dedicated charger. Just Google it. I don't believe a conventional trickle charger is suitable. Apparently it has to be a lithium specific /compatible charger.

stuck the lithium battery on charge (I remembered i had a charger for my RC cars) stuck a bit of petrol in a funnel and hose and kicked it up and it runs :-)

So are you just going to use all the good bits and make one awesome bike or you planning to get both rocking?
