Celebrity Injunctions

Is there any point to them when we have social media?

A British Court has agreed to apply an injunction preventing the people involved in a threesome from being named.

However, the US legal system didn't so the person has been named.

In my opinion, what you get up to in your own time is your business, provided it's legal and with consent. If you're freaks in love, so be it. However, if you're well known and get up to high jinks then you must know the gutter press are going to be interested in the story.

So why go to the expense to hush these things up when the press in another country has published the details? Surely taking an injunction out creates more interest in the story? Sixty years on no one will care.

Having sussed out who it is, well its hardly surprising.

The world and the legal system now seems to think that having loads of money allows you to bypass laws that all others have to abide by.

Id ask who it was, but I have no idea who most "celebs" are anyway.

I've put a couple of clues in the thread.

I'm thick, stupid, uncultured and don't watch much telly.

You'd have to hit me with a bat with the name engraved into it for me to realise.

You might be thick, but you're not a deaf, dumb and blind kid.

I have no idea who it is??? Nor do I care.

But overall I think I'm in agreement with Kwacky....the more you try to hide this stuff, the more the press will er, 'press' to find out what is going on, and a small piece of trivia will get blown out of all proportion.

I fecking hate what British celebrityism had become. At least in America the celebrities are actually celebrities!

No they're not, they are idiots...well, the vast majority are anyway.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but a few years ago I did some work up in the Hollywood Hills....I had written instructions on how to approach the residence....make a phone call..wait for a vehicle to flash it's lights, sign a non-disclosure form, etc....I'm like WTF??

ANYWAAAY....when I eventually was led to the house, it was the one from The Godfather, The Bodyguard, The Jerk, etc..... you all know it...the 3 pools with S-shaped hedges, blah, blah...house is owned by the studios and nearly always vacant except for a few apartments upstairs for industry folk from the East Coast,,,,there's no furniture....studios bring their own
stuff for whatever movie....point is, with all the intrigue around it, it was bound to pique the interest of anyone with the vaguest shred of intelligence....if they had of just had me drive up and do the fecking job I wouldn't have given it a second thought....with all the nonsense surrounding it they made it fecking obvious that sommit was up.

I stole a plate.

You've been away to long, over here you just have to get kicked out of big brother on the first week and you get the keys to Bristol!

It gets worse......I sold the plate on Ebay to some idiot for $40.....I'd explained the whole thing I wrote above to him and he bought it on the offchance that Whitney Houston had eaten off it.

'Cept I didn't......I kept the real one and sold him one out of my kitchen instead. Then I felt bad and told the guy...he said he didn't care...he'd already sold the fake one for $150!!

I realise now. I only have the version of Pinball Wizard by The Who, didn't know Elton John was in a version of it. Every day is a school day.

Personally I don't give a crap what people get up to as long as it's legal and consensual then that's all that matters. I hate how the press have to find a story and force it down people's necks, aren't there more important things in life than finding out about what other people get up to in their own personal time. Most of the guys who work for the press need shooting and even then that's probably to good for them!

Equally why should people do stuff that is different to what their public persona maybe and then stop that being made public knowledge just because they have money to obtain a court injunction?
