With Saving Private Ryan you don't watch war, you feel it... the best of it, the worst of it, and everything in between.

That opening beach scene ;(
Terrible.

The sound on that film is amazing.

It's one of those films that I wished I'd taken the time to go & watch at the cinema.
Whilst the effects are exceptional, imho it would probably have been a more immersive experience on the big screen.

Wife and I finished The Handmaid's Tale.

I didn't think I would enjoy it. I was wrong. We got through all 3 seasons pretty quickly. They got the casting spot on.

We watched Tea with Mussollini last nught and it was followed by a programme called 'Nothing like a Dame' which was Judi Dench, Joan Plowright, Maggie Smith and Eileen Atkins who were all in the film and chatting about their careers and lives.

Fascinating listening to them, they all have a wicked sense of humour and have lived such a full and varied life.

EP3 tonight. Good series, if you can cope with programs being dubbed into English. Took a decidedly and very abrupt turn into the occult. The next episode has an air of sauciness about it.

Finished this season of Discovery. Such a shame - terrible storyline and script this season, the last 2 seasons have been great - this one was frankly a load of mushy crap.

Based on recent tankslap reviews, I stopped watching it.

It went off on one. A kid having a temper tantrum which ruined the universe was a story too far for me.
