Prototype Vinyl Wrap

I'm sure you've all seen the spy shots of cars being driven around before release covered in white and black swirls and random shapes - I think they look great.

I'm considering the idea of doing this to my bike once I have gotten track fairings.. a couple of things:

1) What do you think of the idea

2) Where the bloody hell can I find that stuff?!

I think Pitty does it. http://www.tankslap.co.uk/memberlist.ph ... ofile&u=61" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He rarely posts on here now but he's active on facebook. I can give him a kick this evening for you.

Is he on the FB page? If so you could tag us both in a post? That'd be great

I see a mclaren that drives through bournville quite a lot wrapped in camouflage .If you do it go for the dark base colour it looks really good

Paul Shoesmith - Ice Valley Racing has had Vinyl wraps on his racebikes for a couple of years now , I could ask where he gets it done if Nige can't help you out .

What sort of design are you thinking of?

(I can't help in any way, I'm just curious!)

Hi Mate, I can't do printed wrap unfortunately, but if you already have a dark base colour I'm sure I could come up with sheets of random(ish) swirls in any colour that you could apply yourself, it would be a lot easier than vinyl wrap too, and probably a whole lot cheaper :-)

Thanks for the responses..

The bike is green but with the track fairings they'd be white. I considered getting the colour gel resin fairings for an extra £80 and not painting them but if I could get the vinyl sheet cheap enough I was going to try that.

This is the kind of thing I was thinking of so having it cover all fairings and the tank.

Thanks anyway Pitty :)

That car looks shit IMO

How about something along the lines of urban camouflage?

This is apparently the company that supply most of the car manufacturers.

Loads on ebay too. Worth trying a section at some of the prices.

I had a look on eBay but I couldn't find any of the prototype stuff. I do like the grey pixel camo though, cheap too!

Thanks for the graphikconcept link though - how did you find that?!
