Mercedes own 25%. Whether this is a way of them picking up the whole company for next to nothing remains to be seen.

Re: MV Agusta
Legendary brand to be sure....but figure the last LA area dealership to sell them only held the franchise for 1 month and you know something's got to be up.....like the owner of the dealership told me at the time..."I call them up....and there's no one there!!"....and that's LA....kind of a big place, where you can sell absolutely anything...well, anything except an MV...

Welcome to my world, well the last 20 years of it. To be fair the Italian company I work for now is the least Italian company I've ever worked for, they've got robots and everyfing!

Re: MV Agusta
About 8yrs back my previous company outsourced production of some machines into Italy, I found one that had been machined out of line in a critical area, the Italian quality guy was over within 3 days, scrapped £300k's worth of kit and instigated the build of a new machine there and then. Yes he was a bike rider too, top bloke.
My experience of Italians is that they're 100% on it or they couldn't care less, very much polar opposites. Not sure were MV fit into that, but from what I saw on a tv prog they really wanted that 675 bike to succeed. It's a great brand, fingers crossed someone takes it and sorts it like Triumph in the UK.

Re: MV Agusta
We have had some Italian vendors in work and it's a nightmare. Typical scenario is is you ask if there kit is ready for a start and your reply is yeah for sure. Ok we will press start then upon which you normally get ok we are not ready and the loop continues for weeks and yes I do mean weeks. They won't issue procedures and the kit is very complicated and unreliable but on a plus side it was mega expensive and looks good
