102.5kg on the Squat this morning.
87.5kg on the bench press.
Power cleans at 40kg, the first one of which I forgot about perfect form and bounced the bar off my knee cap. That was uncomfortable.
Finished off with 3 sets of pull ups.

Injuries and niggles have kept me from going last week, fingers crossed I can stay pain free for a bit.

First week of diet and gym and I lost 2.7kg (6lbs).

Doing well on the diet this week though I'll only be doing the gym twice unfortunately. Still doing my 20 (crosstrainer), 20 (bike), 30 (total body).

Yesterday evening, a coaches session at the track. Basically running laps in pairs, see the splits and you get the idea...

Today, sports massage.. ouch!Image

You ever tried Yasso 800? Great workout and you build up to 10 sets of 800m

Had a much needed session with my PT. It was now therapy than exercise, I needed to chat shit and throw some weights about.

That’s the best kind of MH therapy, sorts shit right out.

In other news, I went for a 2 mile run last night in 0C temperatures, was my first run in about 6 months - today has been fun when faced with stairs...

Went to the gym but couldn't be arsed. Joined in a boxer use class and was reminded how unfit I am.

I signed up with a running coach I know for a marathon training plan. The idea is to get a decent PB at Brighton in April.

I got the plan this week, all I can say is **** hell. It's been nice knowing you all.

My PT pal has asked me and Sam to try a 12 week programme. All it's designed to do is to show that you can make changes to your body shape without having to go drastic with the diet and/or exercise. What he's looking for is enough difference from start to finish for people to realise that you can easily make a difference in how you look.

I'm on a carb cycling diet, so I start off with 200g of carbs, then 150, then 100, then back up to 150 then 200. Day 6 is eat what you like say. Day 7 is 150g. For a couple of days I'm fasting until midday. So nil by mouth from 8pm to midday. At lunch I eat half of my calorie intake.

I train as normal or I can follow one of his 3 day a week plans. He reckons you don't have to be too fixed with the exercise regime just so long as you're exercising. Cardio should play a part at least once a week.

So today is day 1.

My aim is to lose my spare tyre. I'll let you know how I get on.

I need to do something like this. Badly.
It's not like I'm lacking for spare time....but my motivation is at next to zero at the moment.
