Complete dick move. His kids welfare should be his priority, regardless how he feels about his ex.

Hopefully with a Finanical Agreement in place already she has some legal standing in not being liable for that debt and it is taken into account on division of assets.

Not that it helps in the short term if she is evicted in the short term by the bank.

And this is the place to unload mate, don’t apologise for it.

Terrible position he's put her in, pillock.!

I wonder if it could be legally argued that he has reneged on that contract ? -Would it be viable to give him an ultimatum of either coughing up the shortfall, or signing over his half of the home to her.?
With sole ownership, and a workable plan of action, the mortgage company may be more inclined to play ball,.?? -After all, repossessing & liquidating assets is a costly & inefficient procedure for them, and one that they would normally want to avoid if they can be convinced they will not loose out in the end.???

Work are monitoring the contents of our Skype conversations.

3 people are being dragged into a meeting over a discussion they had about their manager.

Big Brother and all that.

All our messages and emails are monitored here, Kwacky. Never causes any issues because people know to just talk about it loudly at the vending machine, restaurant, cafe or kitchen instead.

Obviously everyone understands how to build and maintain good professional relationships (facepalm)

Standard for most of my recent contracts, all conversations are saved for 7 years as well. If your in anything to do with trading that also includes phone calls.

And D41, it's more than legal in finance. It's a legal requirement.

These are the IMs on Skype as well as the telephone calls.

I assume their is an obligation from the employer to inform their employees they are being recorded ?

No idea. It's probably tucked away somewhere in the 142 page staff manual we've got.

The easy resolve for that is to only ever say anything that you can substantiate.: If you're diss'ing your boss to a colleague, and it's fact based rather than malicious aspersion, then why would you have anything to be concerned about.?

Im not concerned tbh, but it could be a thow away comment in banter that if recorded and played back later could be taken completely out of context.

If your being recorded then imo you have a right to know about it. I dont think personally I would behave any differently but for me I would still like to know.

Am I the only one that naturally assumes I'm being watched and therefore won't write anything in IM that I wouldn't say to my boss? No banter, flirting or slagging off. I'll complain about things from time to time but only the factual stuff.

I don't have to be told they're monitoring something to be careful of what I say.

Even the bosses take the piss out of bosses at my place of work.

I would say my place of work couldn't be more politically uncorrect. At times its brutal, but its black humour and just how it is, which can be very cutting but people just take it as banter and it won't change nor would anyone want it to.

I like the sound of your place! haha..

At my place there's been a big change in dynamic in the last 3 years due to the big drive to get women in Engineering. Significantly more training is getting pushed on us about harassment, bullying, equality, sexualisation, god knows how many courses I've taken. All it does it make everyone super-cautious and uneasy about what joke is or is not appropriate. Even a tap on the shoulder to make someone look the wrong way as you walk passed them can be considered as bullying, harassment or an "unwanted advance".

It's getting beyond silly if you ask me. Essentially, don't touch anyone, apologise before and after everything you say and don't make a joke at anyone's expense - unless it's about a rival company

Ha!

You should see the emails we get before there's any sort of social event.

And they wonder why the Christmas party is so badly attended.
