WOO HOO well done you guys!

Amazing isn't it, not the actual child birth obviously that sucks. But the whole world changes in an instant.

What birthing method did you use, the hands on approach or the waiting down the pub for the phone call?

I was hands on, 3 chicks in labour and only two midwifes so we got left alone a fair bit, so I kept 'checking' the gas to make sure it was still 'working' (lol)

Thanks all.

It was a water birth. She had gas for a short while but then stopped for pushing. Went pretty quick too which was good.

Ive heard they are self cleaning. So i should be ok

HAHA After Will was born (first one) Sarah went for a bath so I strapped myself in and went for a ride. I was on it for about 15 minutes before the midwife came back and disconnected me!

We were in Lichfield birth centre. No doctors or theater so you have to be low risk, but its a much nicer environment. We have been only ones here (kate stayed over night) with 3 staff. So have been well looked after

Really glad it was a great experience for you both, and Mum and Flynn are doing well.

This is why I got snipped after my second, I get cluckier than a chick. This thread is bringing back a lot of nice memories.

Jesus! That's a good effort!!

After our second, as I was getting ready to leave, I knew it was my last chance so while the missus went for a leak I got a couple of minutes worth and floated down to the car park.

After our first was born my wife stayed in. I went home, opened a beer and rolled a spliff and thought "****!"

Reminds me of a conversation I had with the surgeon while he was doing Sarah's stitches after the twins

Me - How many?
Him - 10
Me - Make it 20!

I'm pretty certain I did pretty much the exact same thing at about 4 in the morning.
