9th to 11th September 2016 - Isle of Man

I missed our usual September trip to the Isle of Man last year.

Is there any interest in going this year?

The Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling (incorporating Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix) runs from 20th August to 2nd September, which would give us some problems with travel and accommodation if we went the week before.

Shout if you're thinking about it and I'll look at ferry prices and hotels.

Because you need to book a couple of years in advance :D

There are usually a few slappers there for the TT.

The trip we gone on allows us to enjoy the roads without the wannabe racers and heroes. It's a good weekend, we've done it for a few years.

Would love to go but September may well be a difficult time to go away for a few years as my son is planning to start Uni next September and as it stands we have no idea when or where he is likely to be starting until August time.

That's more than fair enough. You want to be with him for that. He's done very well, ably helped with supportive parents.

We're away that week this year, but I'm up for the 2017 one.

This has been on my bucket list for a long time.

See you in 2026 then!

Do you still want that newborn car seat?

I really want to go Kwacky but 'the fun adjuster' has made me book up most of my holiday now and most my money along with it and still have a few track days including Tankslap one I want to do and 675cc fest as well!! Not only that my missus has this week off and she wants me to book it off to go away somewhere. Bloody women it's only January and all my money is gone! [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES] I wish I could. She's taken all her holiday off and as she gets a lot more holiday than me (around 7weeks) she has basically got X amount of days off each month and the week ending the 11th Sept she has off!! She usually takes something off in Sept as we usually go away but I can't help think she has done all this so I don't 'use up' my holiday on biking events [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

I need a woman who rides bikes!! Haha!!

I definitely want to do this one year.
Whether it will be this year will depend on cost, and whether i feel my riding ability is up to scratch to warrant going (if that makes sense).

What would a ball park cost figure be?
