New season starts this weekend.

I've not been a fan of the old format, but these new engines with a lack if downforce sound great. It might actually be unpredictable for a while so will watch it for a change (y)

Tried to get into it last year and it just didn't do it for me, I'll watch the first couple of races this year see if I can get interested.

Like Bratty I dipped into last season but didn't really follow it.

This year will hopefully be more open with the new designs and the fuel limits.

Let's see what happens.

Listening on the radio yesterday, they recon the fuel limits that have been imposed will be the biggest challenge to both team and drivers.

I forget which driver they where talking to, but he reckoned that only up to 50% of the field could fail to finish the first race because they run out of fuel.

Haven't watched F1 for years, but just last week I found out that as part of the Sky HD package you get the Sky F1 HD channel, so I might give it a whirl this year, see if these new cars make it interesting.

Chris Evans was saying yesterday how crap he thought the new engines sounded. Personally i think they sound better...a little more like bikes. :D

They sound just like the MV Augusta at the TT last year. I reckon they sound better. Plus they were too loud before IMO. Qualifying was very good and unpredictable. Long may it continue!

They do sound very different.

I've not seen qualifying but I have looked at the grid. Nice and mixed up.

Can't believe Ricciardo got disqualified!!!

I've been an avid F1 fan since the late 70's & haven't missed a season!

I felt devastated by the new noise (or lack of it), but by the end of quali & the race I'd got used to it and was quite surprised when I caught a few seconds of a classic race just how the old cars screamed. That said Sky do need to turn up the audio level in the track mics just to give us a better sense of what's going on, right now it's like watching the TT-Zero race. You know they're going fast but without the sound it somehow just doesn't feel like it.
