Tax is now optional..if you are wealthy enough.

Post by duke63 »

I know i keep banging on about this but the whole thing is so scandalous its beggars belief and when i spend my working week calculating tax for small business and individuals who dont earn a lot in the scheme of things and yet those who earn the most now see tax as optional and governments do nothing about it.

This will only end one disastrous way.

The full site is subscription only but the gist is naming a few more big companies, that have royal approval yet pay no UK corporation tax.

Doesn't surprise me, but people keep buying from them. Amazon will make a killing this Christmas, pay no tax and give it's workers nothing in return. People only care about the price they're paying. Thing is we'll all be paying when these people retire with no savings and no pension.

You still have to go and see the Luxembourg government and 'negotiate' how much tax you are prepared to pay.

It's a changing world......
How long before Luxembourg.gov,com start listing shell companies on Amazon.? Listings in a selection of financial levels of course, customised to suit any European taxpayer that begrudges the income tax they pay.

I imagine that http://www.amazon.nl" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will do especially well out of their Lux-Tax listings.

Luxembourg government are under investigation by the European Union and they have decided that Fiat Financial Services and Starbucks had made deals with the Lux government that are contrary to EU laws and are effectively illegal government subsidies.

The other companies are still under investigation.

They've paid £8m, which is as much as they've paid in the last 15 years.

Under the latest Treasury proposals, from 2018 the government expects personal tax returns to be done quarterly and they will have access to your bank account to check what is going in and out of it without needing your permission to do so.

Big Brother is nearly here.

Well, that should see a huge boost to the black economy then.? Also perhaps a revival to the currently diminishing currency medium of cash.? 8)
