2018 Ninja 400

It's very small and light. The brakes are decent, but you don't accelerate hard enough to want for much more. Likewise the suspension does a job. The engine pulls quite nicely for its capacity. You can hit 70 or 80 in good time but it's a struggle after that. I reckon 110 is about the limit.

Handling is fecking ace, it's so light you just chuck it about. Nice little bike. It is small though.

The lack of power at speed is probably down to aero drag from those colossal mirrors!

Tbh it’s not unlike a scaled down SV650, which is a good thing from Kwan’s pov. (y)

Little bits of it. Overall it's well built

Gave it a good looking over and check of all the basics, fluids, chain, fasteners, pressures etc.....

Set the suspension to stock settings. Strangely the front rebound was wound all the way in and should be 12 clicks out, Pretty dramatic change :^

I'll start with base OEM settings and make adjustments as AND if I need to after a good road test (y)

It's amazing what people do to suspension. Now I've started playing with the KTM I went for a base setting recommended on a forum.. Found out that there where 6 clicks difference on the rebound between the front forks.

No wonder it felt a bit unsettled. Much better now, but it child still do with a tweak or two.

Dont follow forum settings Jon there someone else's ideal setting not yours. Start with OEM and make adjustments that are specific to you with noticeable improvements.

Took the long way home tonight, which reminded me that I need a new rear tyre.

Do you know what blade, I'm going to take your advice and ignore advice about suspension settings given on a forum....

To be honest as long as you make one adjustment at a time so you can identify what move did what does it matter where you start from? I can see value in having your base settings sourced from a model specific forum, but like the OEM settings they are just a starting point.

If you put your settings up for the 675 Blade once you are happy with them I’d be more inclined to start with those if I had a 675 mate, as I appreciate your experience and detail is determining them.

Have fun tweaking Jon!

3 days on the best roads in the UK, South Wales. Should have been 9 days but Sarah was ill so had to come home early. Still utterly fantastic though and only an hour from my mums new place. Bring on 2019

I hope she's feeling better matey.

I should be looking forward to 3 days in Wales. But I'm not. So my mood isn't great today.

I've cheered myself up by buying a new rear tyre. I'll get it fitted on Saturday.

Fooking leathered the little fooker every where (rock)

Now that 675 triple engine loves some revs. Pretty gutless below 10k rpm but get her in the that sweet spot top end area and let the quickshifter feed her gears as the shift lights dance across the dash and she ain't half bad, its not naughty quick but enough to have a good laugh (giggle)

Yesterday helped a mate pick up a Street Triple that he purchased through eBay. I took him to the sellers home and turned out that I knew the sellers! They are a lovely couple from the 675.cc forum. Couldn't believe it when we turned up and I noticed them!! So nice seeing them. They were gutted it went but they are moving and travelling around Europe for an unknown amount of months. What a great experience that would be

Yes it was lol!! My mate sent me a screenshot of the bike and I thought looks tidy with all the wanted extras. I said to him go for it and he won it on eBay. Me, him and another mate all went up to go meet the seller and collect the bike and it was Stu and Treesr lol!! What a great couple proper genuine people always love seeing them guys Image

Sounds amazing. But they should have kept the 675 and toured Europe on that (rock) haha (giggle)
