Spoke to a delear that had been recommended, they offered me £4,500 for the ninja trade in or can sell it for me and get me more but they have a 14 plate MT09 with 9k on the clock in the black and blue that has caught my eye, its about £200 more than I want to add to the cost but I'm currently haggling so gunna go there sat and hopefully do the swap deal there and then.

Is there anything you can lift off the ninja to sell to help make up the shortfall?

not a bad idea, could swap the rearsets back and got some R+G crash bungs that are still in the packet and havnt been fitted yet., hes already said if I take it without warranty he can knock extra £100 off, on a 14 plate low mileage bike I'm not too worried about a warranty, especially as I can test ride it before hand. IF he can get it to £1000 difference il do it. tbh the ride to snett at the weekend was torture so I just want a bike that's fun again. as you know with the stripple mate

If you're not comfortable on a bike you're not going to enjoy riding it. I didn't have any issues with the ZX6R but I didn't have a mangled hand to deal with.

The hands not as mangled as my confidence, and let be honest on any sportsbike its about confidence to push it a bit more.

It's all about confidence really.. I'd say confidence is more important than ability - some may have the ability but not the confidence to unlock the potential

It's why tyre choice is so important for the type of riding the rider is doing. Silverstone last week was the first time I think I have ever felt that stickier tyres might have been helpful

If you want rid of the 600 & you want a new track tool that would suit you better Mick, perhaps this may be of interest to you.?? (happy)

He does say he's looking for a 600 in part ex (nod)
Nice thought but even if he took my bike into consideration which I doubt he would it's still too expensive and I don't do enough track days to warrant a bike like that.
I have a couple of bikes in mind that I would like when the time is right (y)

Rode to work yesterday night and rode back this Morning, it's hard to readjust your head from driving the car all week to the beach etc to a bike that has the same amount of power but weights nothing, you forget just how easy it is to reach rip up license speeds bit being non the wiser to it because in your defence you are merely making an overtake

Nice bike though, it's the limited edition anniversary bike.

Ran the 675 up a couple of times yesterday. Had to mess and borrow a battery as it refused to start on its own battery. Today got the fairing back on and went to get a new battery. Rode the Gsxr to the shop, my God jumping on a 1000cc bike was a bit of an eye opener. It seems to have some front tyre anti wear tech as it did not like it being in contact with the ground very much. Enjoyed the ride but if i commuted on a bike i would either kill or be killed. Dont know how you guys do it.

"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Easy, when im commuting 90% of the time i use this hunk of junk, its too slow to get up to any trouble, weighs as much as a small barge and ia so ugly i have no fear of it being stolen ;)

To be fair this picture is when i forst got it, its no where near that clean anymore, im a little ashamed of myself but it is just a hack so oh well

Checked the oil, she's about 1/8" over minimum at over 1K since I last topped it up to just under max, so to say it get's some high rev action it's not bad really, Aprox 100cc per thousand miles.

Didn't top up as it's service time tomorrow, 12 month service with throttle balance and Motul 300V oil.
