Tried to remove the old collector from the RSV, looks like its not going to be the quick and simple job I thought it would be. Think it may be a full headers off job which I really don't fancy as the headers are impossible to get to without stripping 75% of the bike down.

If I don't find an easy way I guess I know what my winter project is going to be.
Be careful removing the headers. The nuts are notorious for not moving and then shearing the studs off, usually flush with the cylinder head. (facepalm)

I'd read that. They are also really rusty which will make it harder.

The worst bit is that to remove the front header you have to remove the radiator and oil cooler. It was only serviced 30 miles ago so I don't want to drop the oil already.

Been fettling on the 748 in the garage. One of the few winter biking pleasures for me.

I'm going to have a go at setting up the geometry as per the information on this website.

I know the front setting on mine is the not the same as this and i suspect the rear will also be a way out from a quick measurement.

Will be interesting if nothing else and i am hoping to make it steer a little quicker.

I dont sorn mine as weirdly my insurer won't cover theft risk when sorn but the sp is definitely in hibernation now although hoping for last ride in the Blade before she's goes to bed for winter.

Got loads of winter jobs and projects to keep me busy over winter.

Pretty similar Bratty had a couple of blasts since September but that's about it and mist probably the lot for the year.

I struggled to start mine the other day and put it down to that crap euro fuel which has 10% ethanol. I checked the starting system and battery all of which were fine so filled up a jerry can with some petrol from the local forecourt added that to the Blades tank and it fired up straight away on the button. I m sure its that crap ethanol fuel as if you remember my bike struggled a few times to start from cold in Europe. It was OK when warm but did seem to struggle when cold. Have you had any similar issues or concerns ?

You're all gayers and homos.

I'm going to be riding until the next ice age arrives.

Or when it gets a bit colder.

Roads were pretty decent today. Clear and grippy. Had a bit of fun on the way to work.

Could do with some better winter gear though. Think I might look for some at the NEC show.

Might get teh Triumph heated grips and some hand guards too.
