Pulled some ridiculous stickers off the track bike, need to get my butt Organised so I can have some Tankslap decals on it by track day. Luckily I can leave the kiwi ones on it, and he had his name on it too, so just gotta remove the last name and as we share the same first name it's all good!

Woody has just found out he has got a chest infection and has had it for nearly 10 days. No wonder he struggled some mornings, without the mtfu pills he would have been on his knees.

Checked the oil and brake pads on the track bike, the oil looks brand new 8)

Added the first of the tankslap decals and gave the rear a bit of a polish to see how it comes out.. Quite tidy actually so I think the rest of it may get a good polishing over the coming months.

Finally took a spanner to the Track bike. Took the wheels off to get the new rubber fitted to them tomorrow. Previous owner had one torque setting.... Farken' tight! |( bent an allen wrench tool undoing the front brake calipers!

Not fun, at least the Alan went first rather than the bolt! Been there, being left with a snapped bolt in the pinch bolts on the fork legs before....:(

I think what didn't help is getting up close and personal with the bike, it has a bit of light corrosion here and there, I bought it from a coastal area. One of the brake caliper bolts was rather chalky. I'll make sure I give everything a good coat in WD-40 and use anti-seize on reassembly. Don't care about aesthetics really, just functionality.

Oh! speaking of aesthetics I must go order my tankslap decals right now!!

Fwiw I got a set of 3/8" & 1/2" drive allen drivers a few years back, so that I can use my sockets/torque wrench etc.
I have never looked back, I only wish I'd done it years ago because it's soo much faster & easier.

Sounds good preventative maintenance is always better than corrective maintainence.

Have you looked at Halfords professional tools as they are a fraction of the cost of snap on but also have a lifetime guarantee. Plenty of stuff on eBay and I'm sure some sellers would ship down under.

Finally got round to washing it and polishing it. Looks sparkly new again. :)

WD40 do a new spray-on polish which is easy to use, contains carnauba wax (the best) and leaves a lovely finish.

Quick brake fluid bleed as well.
