I've been tempted by the Triumph ones. I thouth they would stick out too much, but I was following a Street Triple with one this morning, and it looked like it never stuck out much more than normal.

The Rizoma mirrors I had on my speed triple could be folded inwards so they went over your hand. You can pock how you want them.

They look pretty swish, to be fair I dont mind the look of my standard mirrors but I could be tempted by them if they offered me slightly more than just a view of my elbow, tempted....very very tempted.... for £13 even if I dont like them its no biggie really

I got the bikes out today and did a bit of work on the Z650, fitted new bars, new brake lever and master cylinder refitted the carbs but couldn't get the new pod filters to fit, swapped the old fusebox for a brand new up to date one but now have two wires etc and not sure where they go (facepalm) cleaned the exhaust bolts and generally had a good old time , only downside was waiting for the new battery to turn, it didn't ,and knacking me back moving the Z, must be getting old :)

Plans for working on my bike changed this morning with a phone call from Dan - the son of a good friend, his D650 was badly ill with a severe case of knackered S4 alarm.

So this morning we removed the alarm and fitted the blanking plug which he'd got. Put the battery back on and found the battery was completely dead, so put my Tiger battery on and got it started, yay! Except it isn't charging....

Looks like a new R/R and/or the alternator, the battery as well if it doesn't respond to a recharge, fingers crossed.

Having leap-frogged the D600 & 650 in ownership, would I be right in thinking this was a recurring problem on those bikes? Any info gladly accepted as I'll be seeing Dan tomoz when he drops my battery and charger back in.

Cheers, DG

Isn't it the S3 alarm on the D650?

It was for the 600

I asked him which alarm was on it Kwacky - as that's what he called me for originally, after he told me he'd busted it open and disabled it, it was obvious it had to come off, I was surprised to find it had the S4 fitted as I was under the impression that model had been brought out not long before the D675 was launched. He was right as I recognised it as the same useless piece of junk I paid to have fitted to my 675 when it was new. |(
