Took it out for a spin to the Raven last night.

Ride up was a bit frustrating with rush hour traffic and few overtaking spots for 3 of us (2 of whom didn't know the way).

But it was a little busier than last time when we got there...

This modded F6C Valkyrie caught my eye last time so I was glad to see it again. They're not normally my sort of bike but there was something about this one that made me think "Yeah, I could see myself on that"!
FB_IMG_1503678366135.jpg
And more bikes...
FB_IMG_1503678376033.jpg
I'm crap at estimating but I'd say there was easily over 200 bikes there, probably over 300.

Of all shapes and sizes.

And had a quality breakfast as well.

To top it all off, the ride back was absolutely cracking. I have to work out the route for myself so I can do it again, Loggerheads and Eccleshall were involved but that's about all I can remember.
That, the twisties, and trying to beat the sunset home!

Cheers Blade. It's a joy to ride on days like today. It does need some new front brake pads soon and I might try SBS this time. What compound do you suggest?

Went out with my neighbour.

J&S Accessories has opened up a new branch about 5 minutes up the road from me. I've kept meaning to drop in but for one reason or another I haven't. After a reconnaissance mission on Saturday I saw some sale items that caught my eye.

Told my neighbour and it seemed like a good excuse to pop over, and maybe sneak a cheeky rideout in there.

What a great idea! (rock)

Great weather, some new roads found down to my neighbour's local knowledge which were pretty sweet, and once again as the year progresses I'm gelling with the bike more and more. (Only to be thwarted by winter when it comes!)

In the end, I decided against buying anything as I've noticed my right rear indicator has stopped working.
So instead of treating myself to a new pair of gloves that I don't really need, I'm going to have to get some indicators instead.

Last week I noticed the rubber on the indicator stalk had perished to the point where it had split about halfway around. I taped it up but it's obviously affected it somehow.

Oh well, gloves can wait a while, just ordered some Lightech ones.

I really rate the SBS RS for the front Duke (lol)

Plenty of stopping power, feed back and good initial bite. Breed confidence imo.

I did that, but the price of the Rizomas are twice that of the LighTech ones! I liked them, but not twice as much.
Not unless I develop my negotiating skills to that of your level! :D

I've not done enough recreational riding these last few weeks. The weather has been patchy, I've not had the inclination to organise ride outs and I'm not part of any groups who do go out. Plus riding every day means I'm not as eager to get out as others. I was hoping to get out on the street this weekend but other things seemed to be more pressing or appealing.

I'm guessing the holiday season is drawing to a close, as the roads were very busy this morning. I put the fog lights on to tell feckers to get out of my way :D

Look forward to hearing how you thing the RR compares with Blade and gixer.
