Back to work for me too.

Spent three days in Copenhagen with the wife celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary.

Well worth a visit. Cheap flights, friendly people, lots to see and do and they love their food and drink. A different atmosphere to other parts of Europe.

Also spent a day in Malmo as you can take a train across the Oresund bridge which starts as a tunnel In Copenhagen and emerges from the sea on a man made island to continue across the Strait as a bridge with the roadway above the railway. Its a 30 minute train journey with no border checks or any of that malarkey.

Can highly recommend it. Its only 1 hr 25 minutes on the plane to fly to Copenhagen.

Flights were £60 return each.

I can't even catch the train to London for £60.

Don't, you'll trigger D41 about unfair comparisons.

Yeah, you can't compare the two forms of transport because the price of beer is much higher in Copenhagen :D

Got a dentist appt. today at 3.00pm.

It's not even 6.00am and I'm already nervous. (sweat)

I think I'll need a huge bottle of vodka first just to prepare. And then take a couple of pistols with me, just in case I need backup.

It's a cleaning, BTW.

Actually not necessarily so. The beer wasn't too bad pricewise. Spirits however were expensive.

Really? 'Cos spirits in the UK seem really pricey compared to the US....even at the off-license. I dread to think what they're like in Europe if you're saying they're higher.

Home time after our hols. Long drive today but I love to see how the landscape changes from country to country.

Work this morning then got the afternoon off. Going to pick my daughter up from school so we can spend a bit of time with her. She seems to be getting worked up about her exams in June. That's a long time for anxiety to build up so we're going to see what can be done to help her out.

Riding home and noticed that the traffic was backing up on the motorway. As I filtered to the front I saw one car face first in the crash barrier and another car 20 yards way with smoke coming out of it. I parked the bike after the car furthest away and went over to. Both occupants, elderly, still in their seats, flames coming out of the engine, smoke filling the car.

They weren't with it but they managed to hear me. The bloke was stunned but didn't seem to be injured. I managed to get him out of the car. At this point I was the only one helping out. I went round to the woman who had a bleeding nose and was complaining about her back. I was joined by a couple of off duty paramedics so they helped her out of the car.

I went to the second car, which was in better shape. Both were heading towards shock but I got them out of the car and passed them over to a couple of other people who had joined in

The driver was trying to call 999 but he was all over the place so he gave me his phone. I stayed with the cars whilst chatting to 999, trying to avoid being run over and making sure that my bike was safe. Thankfully the fire in the car went out.

Once the fire brigade arrived I gave them a quick run down and then left.

Which is more than some people would do. Glad you were there to get stuck in.

Fine. Then you're the only lawyer who actually manages to beat the ambulance. (rolf)

Well done Kwacky, easy to ride by, but stopping and getting involved is the right thing to do. (y)
