Would it be anything to do with the DNA analysis companies selling your info by any chance?

I’m interested because Mrs Gee bought me a DNA kit for Christmas that I haven’t used yet, like D41 I’ve got slightly darker skin that tans very easily, I also know it’s a feature that skips a generation or two and turns up again, my Sibs and Parents were/are very pale skinned, so I’m interested in how this aberration has gotten into my genetic make up. I think I’ve got an idea but want to know if possible, but, I’m also fairly careful with personal information and my digital footprint, so I don’t want too much out there for free to unscrupulous tw*ts like Zuckerberg and co.

Kiwi actually really interesting to see that. Does make you wonder how your ancestors originally got down under?!

Read the contract, there's usually a few clauses or two giving them permission to retain the DNA and to use the results and the DNA internally and with associated companies for research.

So does this mean that your ancestors were...ermmm..deported from the UK? :D

I think more convicts were sent to the US than to Australia. Some of the Oz crowd made it to NZ later but not because they were sent there.

If I remember my history, NZ was one of the countries that got a big influx of immigrants from Scotland during and following the Highland clearances. So I’d guess there’s a lot of old Celt blood floating around NZ.

There’s a very simple test for that. Paul, put your hands on your sides and look down. Are your pockets longer than your fingers?

Carrying on with the DNA thing, found they match you to other people that have done the rest that have a high likelihood of being related. I had 4 2nd cousins listed. Now one of these had the last name Gibson. That was of particular interest to me as it has been rumoured since I can remember that dads birth name was Gibson. So I’ve sent them a message through the ancestry site to see what turns up.

Well, good luck with it, I hope you get all your questions answered to your satisfaction.

Be great if they come back with "Hey, there's a warrant out for your arrest!"
OR...
"Hey....you're related to the Queen!"
"I am??"
"Yup....Queen Latifah!!"

Had a good day out at Oulton Park today for the BTCC races.

Stand out cage was the course Doctors car 8) Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, was literally a few seconds a lap slower than the full on factory BTCC cars and Porsche GT3RS race cars on slicks.

2.5 ton of family SUV road car really shouldn't be that quick. Completely defys physics and sounded brutal doing it (rock)

I had 2 plans for today and chose the wrong one, go out with my friends or give a girl a chance, she asked me to take her out for the day so why not?

Well it was all getting arranged until it got to when and where should I pick her up then, silence, no answer until gone 2 pm when she revealed she had been shopping instead...
Plan C, BMW day at Squires, bombed up there on the GT riding like a jeremy hunt venting my foul mood... Missed it, bikes were being packed away as I arrived...

A coffee and a browse in the shop then I came home... Brakes started vibrating again as I got them warm, having the discs straightened had no guarantee on it but as it was the carriers I had hoped the repair would hold... :@

Seriously thinking of just surrendering this bike and sticking to the car until I have some debts paid off because I just can't afford £400 on top of the massive service in 6 weeks, then insurance will be due.
I'm working 6 days most weeks hoovering up all the overtime that I can get my name on and still having this trouble.
