Fwiw I’ve had the same experience albeit from the other end with my Brother, he’d left his own phone at work and was working in the garden at his house, I’d rung both his numbers repeatedly with no answer, this is a year after he lost his wife to cancer and he was struggling.
It necessitated me driving over there “at speed” expecting something..... distressing. Fortunately he was surprised to see me but thought it was hilarious when I told him why I was there, strangely I wasn’t so entertained.

The morale is: Never underestimate how much people care for you, or how much of a hole your demise will make in others lives.

Been there Deegee and that's how I found out my Golf has a 155mph speed limiter!

That's fairly impressive.

There's Golf's which will do over 170mph and it doesn't need an 8litre V8 to do it

That's the R and it's also limited to 155mph.

I'd rather have the Porsche....don't care about the top speed too much.

I think Monty would be well suited to a mini

Technically I'm not 100% sure that would be possible (giggle)

Today I'll mostly be partying like a madman, celebrating the 4th of July, and overcoming the yoke of our English oppressors.
