Still running round like a headless chicken, but feel like I am getting somewhere now.

Also been watching the guys replacing the faciers on the house. It's great watching people work who really know their trade.

I'd love to know what's happened with your "builders" lol.
Fwiw I built my own house in my free time, & at some stages I tried to employ builders to move the project forward faster.
BIG mistake.
There are undoubtedly some truly skilled & industrious craftsmen out there.....
I never found a single one.
I actually spent far more time on my house stripping back & re-making the bad workmanship of the "professionals" I had tried to employ.
Worse than that, every time I look at my house, I instinctively just seem to see their bad bits that I left in. -Really takes the edge off things.

Mind you, I haven't finished it yet, so maybe...... :?

Spent the morning in Doctors waiting rooms and X-Ray depts with mini Gee, who has a recurring pain in his left hip, given my history in that area it's been a bit worrying. Still fingers crossed we can get it sorted or he grows out of it.

Ditto above, hope all will be well with junior

Builders... It seems my house is worth a helluva lot less now than before the work commenced. It's safe to say that I am just a little naffed off with them and they are making me feel a teensy bit cross. (just as another bit fell off )

At work and after doing my packing for a weekend away with the 675.cc guys riding around some very scenic areas. Been looking forward to this for months and now they are saying it will piss it down...the ultimate question though - leathers with waterproofs over them or textiles for more comfort in the rain?! Hmm got a massive decision to make now!!

The weather forecast keeps shifting.

If I was going to an all day ride out then leathers with waterproofs for me.

Bugger all.

The weather can't make its mind up. So I'm rehousing some spiders and watching the F1 race. I say watching, it's on the TV.

Olly had two matches in Worcester this morning
Got back and decided to fit a new bathroom light which went well (eventually)
Then decided to secure a few loose floor boards .... thats when I should have stopped !!

Screwed straight through the gas pipe (facepalm)

OK accidents happen .... but its not the first time I've done it

Raced to B&Q to get the bits and thanks to my Bro in Law whos in the trade, it was done an repaired in an hour.

Nothing of note today but I start tomorrow with a visit to the surgeon who put the metalwork in my arm. I've been getting pain low down in the upper arm during certain movements. I'm going to have a chat with him to see what it is and if anything can be done.
