My itchy eyes suggest the glorious arrival of hayfever

Here's to 2 months of misery.

I'm pretty lucky dont ever seen to get affected by hay fever, my partner on the other hand she gets it and it makes her wabt to lock herself up in the house until it dies down haha!

Sainsbury's 1-a-day non drowsy loratadine anti allergy tablets have been the best I have found and only about £2 for a box of 30 from their pharmacy (although about a year ago they were selling at 65p a box of 30)

I had a kenalog injection last year because my hayfever got so bad. £65 for the consultation and treatment from a private med centre in Birmingham:

Took a couple of days to kick in but I was symptom free for 8 weeks and if you get hayfever really badly you'll gladly pay £65! It's advisable not to have it every year though as it's a steroid and blah blah blah. I'll have this year off it and have it next year if I get bad enough.

Fexofenadine Hydrochloride are the best tablets I've used but prescription only as they're 180mg per tab. Potent but bloody good and non drowsy! Haven't had a sniffle since last season though wierdly.

Just rode my bike to inspection (MOT, if that helps), and I've reached the conclusion that riding a motorcycle during allergy season isn't the best thing for my sinuses. Not that it'll stop me

I'll agree with that. I think the speed we travel at with the air vents in our lids means that the pollen is pretty much injected up our noses and into our eyes.

I may have psychological hayfever then. Riding and driving seems to calm my symptoms down. Must be because I'm concentrating so much.

I thought I had avoided it this year, but it's kicked in this morning.

Mine came on yesterday. Medicated this morning and feel sound today. Dark sunglasses help, maybe not so practical in your line of work Kwacky.

I'm in full suffering mode.

U wake up in the morning and can barely breath, my eyes itch like hell.

Usually end up taking about 3 one-a-day tablets a day.

Man you beat me to the post, Last two nights on the ride home I have been in pain! The eyes were itching so badly it was really crap. I bought some piratin (spelling to be checked) but it really stopped it in about 30 mins I was amazed. I used to get stuff on prescription, but stopped, might get back on it again..... Well all the rain today will wash it down a little.

Fexofenadine Hydrocloride 180mg. Sort you right out.

This week has been really bad. I feel like crap. Work is the last place I want to be with a headaches and itchy eyes.

Work is the best place for me unfortunately, air con and pollen filters are making life bearable.

It all goes down hill when I get outside though.

Last few days I have been really suffering, more than ever eyes so itchy, sneezing so much I had no sleep last night I have a headache which is so bad I can get away from the pain.... I called in sick I cant work like this, my nose is so bloody sore....

Moan over, back to bed to try and get some sleep....
