Enjoyed watching that race... Still really good to see the ducati's back at the sharp end, how stable did dovis bike look.. Mind you, they might have too have a look at the fuel consumption

You could say running out of fuel 50 metres after the finish line, that somebody has done there sums very well.

Isn't there something in the rules about post race fuel testing?

That was the first race with offically 22 litres as they have had 3 podiums now. Although originally they were allowed 24 litres as part of the factory option concessions they said they raced with 22 litres anyway as they didn't need the extra 2 litres. Cota isn't that hard on fuel consumption so either a freak occurrence or they were bluffing about previously using 22 litres.D6Nutz wrote:Isn't there something in the rules about post race fuel testing?

They have an option to run a softer compound but its a double edged sword as they then can't run the harder compound which might be the tyre of choice at circuits.
For example Ducati might get access to soft and medium and factory teams medium and hard.

I think btsport are doing very good coverage and better than the Eurosport coverage if old.

Marquez is now on engine 3 out of a total allocation of 5 and he hasn't even started his third race.

Good point Duke.
What he did in qualifying in Austin was the best we have seem of him IMO. For a 22 year old to have the presence of mind and composure to handle that pressure and still deliver sets him apart for me.
His pole lap was so scrappy for obvious reasons and begs the question what would he have done on his no.1 bike with a calm and focused race head on.
