Xbox One

Post by Blade »

Where are the best deals on these consoles.

Need one for my lads birthday and not being a gamer I haven't got a Scooby doo about them.

All advice welcome. Cheers for any help you can offer.

They have daily deals. The original deal would not work. I logged in two days later and the same deal was on with a different promotion code which worked so I got there in the end.

I have just turned the xbox on as the kids are away this weekend and thought it would be sensible to check it all out before his birthday so as no disappointments or problems on the big day.

Good job I did as its taking some setting up.

One quick question is I have the Forza game on disc but it seems I have to install it onto the hard drive, why is this ?

Its telling me it will take up 10% of the HDD disc space, so that means I can only have 10 games on there which seems a bit strange IMO.

Anybody got any advice ? Am I doing something wrong ?

Nope most games install to the hard drive as they need to read files fast rather than using the disc. Sometimes there options to not install certain files to the hard drive but this is game specific. also certain games will only have a small install and other massive. The days of mega drive all the game data on the cartridges are long gone I'm afraid.
