"Dropped it outside the Prince of Wales Pub".

I realise that kids start early these days, but surely a 10 year old.??? :|

If I wasn't such an old cynic, I would be (even) more touched by this.

Wow he must have been a top guy and an awesome Dad, hope I can be half as good. Kids can be testing sometimes but the privilege of being such an important person in their life is not too be under valued or overooked IMO.

Reading that makes you think.

A few weeks ago there was a debate on the radio after a doctor said that if anyone has to die the best way is with an illness where you have the opportunity to say goodbye.

Though my dad and I never actually said goodbye via direct words, I am certain he knew ( and he gave me the feeling he knew at the time) that when we said goodbye that last time in hospital that really was goodbye. He passed away 3 days later when i was 200 miles away back home.
