Thinking about it, Monty, I'm fairly sure i had to do the same thing and fit a pressure switch as the Gilles set up did not work with the spring tensioned switch.Monty wrote:Based on my experience I wouldn't buy Gillies again. Plus one thing to bear in mind is the standard brake switch didn't work with mine as the position was too close to the pivot point. It didn't pull the the spring far enough to activate the switch so I ended up fitting a pressure switch.
Having said that I'd have a pressure switch over a micro switch any day of the week

Re: Rizoma or Gilles
I would have to ask the question that nobody else has asked yet..
With the Rizoma's just being pegs, do you find the position comfortable enough or would you prefer the flexibility of being able to adjust the riding position and lever positions fully ????
I know for me the biggest reason for getting the rear sets on the RSV was so I could make the bike fit me rather than the other way round.

Re: Rizoma or Gilles
I'm happy with the position Nutz and tbh there is a lower and higher position in the OEM rearset so they do have some adjustment as stock.

Re: Rizoma or Gilles
I've got the same problem with mine on the D600 Monty, the plunger on the slave cylinder is cocked off a tad to which compounds the issue. The guy that does my pink slip (MOT..I've had it done each year its off the road as if the rego lapses I have to get a full engineers cert to re-rego) says every time, "thought you were going to fix that rear brake light switch, makes sure it's done next time."Monty wrote:Based on my experience I wouldn't buy Gillies again. Out of interest what pressure switch did you fit, and do you want to sell it?

Parts on the bike like that are going FOC, send me your address and I'll post it out. Be quick though Spudda is coming round this Friday! Which reminds me I forgot to warn Jack!kiwikrasher wrote:I've got the same problem with mine on the D600 Monty, the plunger on the slave cylinder is cocked off a tad to which compounds the issue. Re: Rizoma or Gilles
Very swish.
P.S. I've not forgotten those levers. They're boxed up and ready to go but I don't get near a post office in the week. Mrs Kwacky will try and post them tomorrow.

Cheers Duke. Might get some carbon heel plates too but a lot look cheap and tacky IMO so not sure.
Powerbronze have some in matt carbon which sound good but no photos available.
