Neighbours Part III

I think I've murmured on other peoples 'Neighbours' threads about our neighbours .... for those not paying attention then

Our Neighbours moved in around 3 years ago ... she is an Accountant and he is a Litigation Solicitor. They have three kids and all three go to the same school as my three. Their eldest 9, middle is 7 and youngest is 6.

When they moved in, we did the polite good morning thing and offered a hand with anything they needed. He was quite responsive but she was/is a right stuck up cow .... didn't even say morning, hello unless eye contact is made

We've had run ins and various battles ... and 'friends' of theirs have even described them as vermin.

ANYWAY ... they've moved out (clap) .... they still own the property and will be renting it out

HOWEVER ..... Spot the difference

The fence on the left is theirs but when we moved in I paid and erected the posts and fence as the previous occupiers had a privet hedge running down half the garden. When I came to fence by the tree, I couldn't really see where my boundary was so I went on a well educated guess.
When the previous occupiers lived there, they couldnt see a boundary so they fenced up to the tree.

Anyway the wind took it last night and its fallen into the garden directly behind me. The garden behind had 2 green house and a shed and fortunately its missed both ... you couldnt have placed it any better.

I've spoken to my departed neighbour today (him not her) and he's had a look and hummed and arghhed and mentioned looking at his house insurance details .... now does that make you think the tree is his or like me, with him being in the legal trade, he is using delaying tactics to seek advice etc ....

Can't you just go online to the land registry website and look at the boundary lines. I think it only costs 3.00 and are available usually in under an hour

Well bugger me backwards with a soup spoon !!!!
The tree blew down on Sunday, we had snow Tuesday/Wednesday and today the Tree Surgeons have been, chopped it up, disposed of it, ground down the stump, leveled the land, put my fence panel back in and gone :x

Credit where credit's due but I thought we'd be looking at a couple of months before they sorted it ...
how wrong am I (happy)

Best of all, they haven't asked us for anything .... they haven't even mentioned it and gone through their insurance
