What a tit I am!

Post by DaytonAndy »

So last night, running late as usual, I jumped in my car and remembered there was no washer fluid in at all and I could hardly see out the windscreen. Ran into the garage and grabbed a bottle of screen wash in the dark, checked the label and ran out to start filling it. As I started to pour I got a good dose in then thought "this is a bit gloopy!" Checked the bottle again and found I'd managed to pick up an old bottle of the finest blackest used engine oil. Oh how special I felt when I got a torch to shine in and see a couple of inches of lovely black engine oil in my screen wash reservoir.

Because I was running late I nearly left it to sort later but being the forgetful sort I didn't fancy being on the motorway when I sprayed engine oil all over the windscreen.

Well at least the screen will be well lubed!! :D

Do what I do mate.....carry all that stuff in the car....I usually have a little bag...ok, a medium-ish bag filled with coolant, a quart of oil, flares, washer fluid, etc.....oh, and a flashlight.....cars never go wrong in daylight, do they??

Just stick it in the trunk.....mine, because my truck seats three across, is on the floor in the middle......it has other stuff in it too....supplies for work & whatever, but that way you never forget.

Jeez, you've got a memory....when did I post that, like 6 years ago??

Maybe more....it was kinda funny though....it was the putting the seatbelt on & then going for a wheel that didn't exist that did it for me.

Tw@t.

It was the pretending to wait for the driver that did it for me!
