Kwacky's Christmas Wishes

Post by Kwacky »

It's that time of year where we get caught up in a flurry of festive activity. All I ask is that we use this time of the year to pause and think of others and to be thankful for what we have.

For those of you with kids, remember that it's your presence and not your presents they really need.
For those of you with parents, give them a hug, you don't know when you can do it again
For those of you with friends, a simple "thank you" is all they need.

Remember those who aren't with us, be thankful for those who still are. Extend the hand of friendship to someone who needs it, offer 5 minutes of your time to someone who is alone, offer an ear to someone who just wants to talk.

To slappers past, present and future, here's wishing a very merry Christmas to you all.

Nicely put mate. I'm already enjoying the Christmas break with my kids and will be meeting up with the rest of the family tomorrow.

I hope you and your family have a fantastic Christmas.

Well said Kwacktser. I know for one I will appreciate even more next Christmas with the kids after missing this one. But I'm just focusing on the full 4 weeks I get with them when I get back while they are on school holidays. That's a pile of quality time a lot of other parents don't get to have. Gotta take the good with the bad.

Hope your day is a great one for you and your brood my friend, and thanks for all the effort you've put into keeping this site alive ( and a honorable mention to D6Nutz of course!) I've enjoyed coming back to it (y)

Them's exactly my sentimonies, Kiwi.
After being away for four months, all I'm bothered about is being with the kids and the missus.
My daughter has said she'd rather have me back than presents, which is heartwarming.
My son wasn't so sure, lol!

Yup, cheers Blade,it's one of the best feelings each time I get home, my little girl latches on in a bear hug and doesn't let go for about 5 mins. Byron who due to his ASD isn't into personal affection will spend the first few days sitting right next to me or on me when he gets the chance.

I've never had to do more than a month away from them, so feel for you Itchy, I hope you get a good amount of stand down once your home. I must admit deploymnets were easy for me as I never had kids while serving.

Sound words Richard (handshake)

I spent Christmas Eve with my dad in the hospital (my sister and I took him today and he's been admitted) and tomorrow morning with my kids... I value every word you wrote more than you know. Truest Christmas wishes to you all.
