Did anyone watch this last night? It was good but I thought it was watered down. There wasn't much about racism or corruption. I thought they could have done a bit more digging.
Still, it was good to see the old ways pf policing getting an airing.

Re: Confessions of a Copper
I caught about the last 15-20 mins of it...I agree with your thoughts, I had to laugh about how the community made sure the sarg was al right in goodies lol.....Oh yeah and his breakfast lol
Something else that stuck in my mind was the use of recording devices... not been that long has it, before then it was trusting their word.
Oh how the world has changed....

Re: Confessions of a Copper
I have my grandad's old police truncheon somewhere.
My dad always used to joke about how many heads that had been cracked over back in the day. Quite often for minor things too to 'remind' them not to do it again.

I don't think my Dad used his ever, not once.....but then again most of his career his did stuff like teaching, cadet training, community relations, etc.
Different way of doing things back then.....hell, they used to take me along on camping trips....it was a blast......cruising round Weardale/Teesdale in a big Land Rover......was epic for a 6 year old.
