Don't matter if it's a clear track or not, you should still look over your shoulder. His own fault in my book.

100% hos fault. He didn't look and he cut right across the track towards the apex of the corner when there was no need to do so.

I've always been told to treat the track as live when you're joining it

Agree with kwacky.

He should have checked the track was clear and kept to the outside of the first corner to get up to speed.

it's the same as Donny isn't it? Enter at the end of the straight then going into a right hander.

I don't know the circuit that well. I'll have to check.

Yep very similar. No limits where very clear on how to join the track, and it was nothing like that..

I get that he's p*ssed because the track wasn't clear when it was supposed to be, however the comments regarding joining a track are bang on, it was made very clear to me when I first started doing track days that it is your responsibility to make sure it is safe to join the track. Yes the Marshalls and race control screwed up, but it's at least 80% his fault for not doing the lifesaver.

1) I dont think I would post my mistake on the net.
2) Who goes straight into the racing line.
3) As he said he was hanging about abit so at the very least the tyres will be cooling down already.
4) Marshall seemed to get onto the track quick enough (y)

Is it not the first rule, keep out of the racing line stay out of the way, obviously look... You see the pros do it all the time coming out the pit lane.
